When you have had many houses in your life, you know very well what you want, and this client is an example of that. Her list of needs was very clear: she was looking for a simple and spacious house, with space for the loom and pottery, and low energy consumption. She was also the one who challenged us to build a house with straw bales, something new for us and for the region. The creative and learning process was worked together, resulting in a one-level house divided in half: on one side a large central space, and two rooms on the other. The walls and roof were built with bales confined between wooden frames that structure the whole.
